Becoming a PADI Deep Diver is essential if you want to dive some of the best shipwrecks in Victoria!
*COVID-19 UPDATE August 2020*
Due to the uncertain nature of when restrictions will lift for Victoria, we have temporarily suspended all in-water activities.
Online learning for Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, Enriched Air, Equipment Specialist, Freediver and DM is still available.
Safety is top priority when we’re scuba diving. In the PADI Deep Diver course you will learn the correct use of specialised equipment, which will increase your safety margins and ensure that you are confident diving to depth. Academy of Scuba is committed to competent, thorough training and keeps instructor to student ratios low with 4 students to 1 instructor, so each course is adapted to the individual.
It is important to practice dive planning and depth management, so you are in control of your diving and get the most from each and every dive. Academy of Scuba’s instructors are all highly trained and experienced deep divers, offering expert knowledge to every diver. We will also help you make informed decisions on essential equipment investments, offering professional advice and outstanding service.
We scuba dive to explore the depths. Remember when 18 meters seemed deep? Now look at where you are! It could be the lure of that mysterious shipwreck that’s just out of reach. Or maybe that giant, beautiful fan coral that is just below 30m on that amazing wall dive. Whatever the reason, get excited about exploring dive sites that are off-limits to other divers with the PADI Deep Diver course.

To get the maximum benefit from this course, we recommend investing in your own regulators, BCD and computer. Please call the shop or have a look on our online store for options. Equipment hire is available at the standard rates.
Dive sites will be selected based on depth and optimum conditions, with the weather taken into account. All dives will be boat dives and you will need to have logged minimum one shore dive in Victoria in the last 6 months before going on the boats.
