Ever wanted to explore the ocean using only one breath? The PADI Freediver course introduces you to the inward power, discpline and control of freediving at depth The course will allow you to experience the depths of the ocean in a relaxing and mindful way.

What You Learn

The PADI Freediver course falls into three parts:

  • Using the PADI Freediver Touch™ online learning to gain knowledge in basic freediving theory, including the physiology and physics behind freediving.

  • A double pool session to learn breathhold techniques, static and dynamic apnea, as well as the proper buddy procedures and rescues. The goal: static apnea of 90 second and dynamic apnea of 25 metres/80 feet.

  • Open water sessions to introduce you to free immersion and constant weight freedives as well as proper buddy procedures. The goal: constant weight freedive of 10 metres/30 feet.

 

Pre-requisites

To enroll in the PADI Freediver course you must be:

  • 15 years of age and above. (If you are below 15, but older then 12, you can enroll in the PADI Basic Freediver course)
  • Must be in adequate physical form and know how to swim.
  • No prior experience in snorkelling, skin diving or freediving is necessary.


The Fun Part

Not only will you be introduced to depth whilst using the breathholding techniques learnt in the PADI Basic Freediver course, but you will also have access to seeing marine life up close! Without all the scuba gear, marine creatures will be more curious and will come up to you because you aren't blowing any bubbles. Freediving in the ocean allows you to forget about the stressed in real life and will make you feel as if you're in a dream.
