Did you know Victoria is home to over 200 shipwrecks. With only a few accessible with your Open water certification, for this course we will require you to be Advanced certified. Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even automobiles nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting avenues of discovery, and usually teeming with aquatic life. The PADI Wreck Diver course teaches you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible wreck diving.
With so many wrecks as an option to dive you are sure to have some absolutely beautiful dives. Incorporating a bit of cave training into our courses we will ensure you are comfortable with the use of sling tanks (a mandatory requirement when entering an overhead environment in Victoria). Your skill level and comfort in the water will increase and you will finally be able to go into those holes of the wrecks you may have seen but always wondered about. Check out the video on this page taken on the awesome playground that is the ex-HMAS Canberra.

Many shipwrecks are often found in deeper water. That’s why the PADI Wreck Diver course is a natural companion to the PADI Deep Diver course. There are so many other wrecks to explore under the 30m mark. To get the most out of your dive, using enriched air is highly recommended. Talk to us if you are not nitrox certified.
AOS unfortunately does not offer transportation services at this time. We therefore highly recommend that you have access to a car for the duration of your course. AOS will not be held responsible for any student who is unable to attend any part of their course to due transportation issues.
