Along with our high sterilisation standards of all equipment, Academy of Scuba now offers a contact-free pickup and dropoff service for your scuba equipment servicing needs. Please note that a pick-up fee of Just let us know where to pick your equipment up from and we’ll do the rest!

We want to get you back in the water sooner rather than later. Academy of Scuba’s servicing runs from 7-10 days, providing service kits/parts are in stock, so you can get back in the water blowing bubbles. If you need your equipment in an urgent rush, adding our express service additional charge will help you jump the service queue. Cylinders have a 7 day turnaround. Generally this is Monday-Monday.
Some manufacturers help you maintain your equipment by offering Parts for Life programs, which is a great way to reduce the cost of looking after your equipment over its lifetime. Please make sure that it is serviced within the annual time-frame to keep within these programs so that we can continue to give you all of your parts for free.
As you can imagine, because we are able to service pretty much anything from your regulators, BCDs and tanks to fixing your suits, putting a price list here would be too large and confusing. Here are some of the main items to give you an idea of pricing.

Full regulator service (1st,2nd, Occy) – $150 plus parts
BCD service – $70 plus parts
Hydro tank including free valve service – From $70
Inspection of equipment only to keep parts for life programs – $50
Quotes on service of Regulators – $40
Parts for life admin fee – $12
Repair of drysuits/ wetsuits – Our talented bunch of repair elves can do almost anything to fix torn suits or zips and they can even alter suits, custom make suits and do so much more. Prices are dependent on what needs to get done. Ask us for more information if you need any of these services completed.
We service all equipment with a qualified service technician using ONLY genuine manufacturer service parts. We always recommend taking your equipment on a shallow test dive before diving deep or going on holiday, so that you can enjoy your diving safely.
COVID-19 Update: Due to state restrictions, we currently are not permitted to offer hire equipment.

Academy of Scuba offers the PADI Equipment Specialist course, which teaches you how to manage basic repairs and maintenance of your dive gear. This course is a must for anyone who owns their own scuba equipment.
