THE PADI SEAL TEAM PROGRAM
The PADI Seal Team is for young divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by doing exciting scuba AquaMissions. They will be floating effortlessly like an astronaut – a unique experience that will make all of their friends jealous. Meeting new friends, sharing in the adventure of the underwater world, all while having an amazing experience, is what this program is all about.

IMPORTANT NOTES
All inclusive course with bonus materials
We like to ensure that your child is confident in their abilities as a diver before they leave us.
This means that sometimes this program takes a bit longer. As a rough guide:
Part 1: 8 hours over 2 afternoons/ evenings or 1 full day
Part 2: 1-2 hours for each AquaMission
ABOUT THE COURSE
- Term 3 after school program
- Every Tuesday for 6 weeks at YAWA
Broken into two parts, AquaMissions reinforce safe diving skills while the kids are having fun.
- Part One
AquaMissions 1 – 5 - Teaches kids the basics of diving – things like buoyancy control, mask clearing, regulator recovery, etc. This helps them gain confidence so that they know they have achieved something pretty special in becoming a diver.
Part Two
- Specialty AquaMissions
- After building a solid foundation of scuba skills, kids move on to part two. Part two is full of specialty AquaMissions, which usually last about an hour. These are AquaMissions that introduce you to wreck, navigation, buoyancy, underwater photography, environmental awareness and more.
- Children must be 8 – 11 years old to participate. Once they turn 12 they can become PADI Open Water Divers and head into the ocean for an extra level of satisfaction and adventure.
- To make sure everything runs smoothly in the water, all participants will have to fill out a quick medical form that will be sent to you upon booking. Your children’s safety and enjoyment is our number 1 priority so if you there are any ‘yes’ answers, a recreational diving medical is needed. Diving doctors found here.
- We handle everything for you when it comes to the scuba and snorkelling equipment- all in children’s sizes. Coming to the shop to get sized up before your session maybe necessary so that we can ensure you get the right equipment. We recommend that your child has their own mask and snorkel for comfort and hygiene reasons.

The Adventure Continues.
Upon successful completion of the first five AquaMissions, students become a PADI Seal Team members. Upon successful completion of 10 additional specialty Aqua Missions, students become Master Seal Team members. When kids are 12 years old, they can take complete the Junior PADI Open Water Diver certification.
