COME TO A GUIDED DIVE TOUR WITH AOS!

Victoria’s underwater world plays host to a huge variety of sea creatures and sites that are impressive, though not widely known. Local sightings include Weedy Seadragons, Blue Ring Octopus, Giant Smoothrays, Seahorses, Spider Crabs, Cuttlefish, over 150 species of nudibranchs, Seals and many more!

Victoria is also home to 4 WW1 Submarines that are frequently dived, as well as over 100 wrecks and one of the most beautiful wall systems in Australia, the Lonsdale Wall. The colours we have here truly eclipse the Great Barrier Reef, and the amazing animal migrations, such as the Spider Crab Migration in June / July make Melbourne one of the secret underwater wonders of the world.

Your mind will be blown when you see the amazing marine life that calls Melbourne waters home. Come diving with us and find out for yourself today!

— Academy of Scuba runs guided dives at many different locations around Port Phillip Bay. Actual locations and times will vary, depending on weather conditions, tide times and certification levels of divers involved. Our most common dive sites are around the Mornington Peninsula, and all guided boat dives depart from Portsea Pier.

— For specific locations and times, please see the dive information or contact Academy of Scuba.

— You will need to have access to a car for your dives as Academy of Scuba does not offer transportation.

— Academy offers Equipment Hire for your guided dive. Please click here for pricing.

Designed specifically for divers who haven’t experienced temperate waters or Victoria’s unique diving conditions within the last 12 months, this add-on is essential for ensuring a smooth transition into colder waters.

Diving in temperate waters necessitates thicker suits, which can alter buoyancy and require adjustments in weight distribution. Our Orientation Dive+ package includes:

  • Thorough buoyancy checks
  • Assistance with ascents and descents
  • Comprehensive guidance to help you acclimate to diving in Victoria

Whether it’s your first time or you’re reacquainting yourself with these conditions, our expert team will ensure you’re well-prepared for an unforgettable diving experience.
